Urban Explorer · Amsterdam launching

Turn every walk into a story.

A fog-of-war exploration game for the real world. Walk your city and the fog peels back, hexagon by hexagon, revealing places you never noticed.

How it works

Walk. Reveal. Discover.

Three motions, repeating: cover ground, lift the fog, find the place. There is no finish line — only the next tile.

  1. A storybook explorer walking with cream hex-shaped breadcrumbs trailing behind, one glowing ration-yellow.
    01

    Walk anywhere.

Step out the door and your feet do the rest. The map remembers every meter you cover — no goal, no streak, no leaderboard chasing you.

  2. An isometric hex tile with parchment fog peeling off the top, revealing canal houses underneath.
    02

    The fog peels back.

Each step lifts a hand-painted tile of fog. Streets you walked past for years quietly slide into view, hex by hex.

  3. A glowing hex tile with a deep-teal POI marker in the centre, surrounded by a warm yellow bloom.
    03

    Stories light up.

Cross a hidden place and it springs to life — a soft bloom, a name, a fragment of history you can pocket and keep.

The ripple

When you reach a place that matters, it lights up.

The discovery animation is the heart of the game: a hex-by-hex bloom cascading outward from your tile and landing on a hidden point of interest.

900 milliseconds per tile, four rings, one POI marker, one pulse. This is the moment the walk turns into a story.

The fog

Centuries of stories sit invisible, ten meters from us.

Keep scrolling. The clouds drift apart. The city slides into focus, hexagon by hexagon.

Every city, eventually

It begins in one place.

Amsterdam is first — small enough to lose yourself in, big enough to hold a thousand stories.

Other cities follow when their hidden corners deserve the fog peeled back. We add them slowly, with the same care.

Launching in

Amsterdam.

The first city. Walk it. Cross a tile. Light a story.
